Liberated Development

More casting details announced as the return of Arrested Development draws near

The Bluth family's return is only a few months away, the long awaited revival of the beloved cult series Arrested Development debuts on Netflix in May, and even more recurring characters have now been announced.

The series had three seasons aired on Fox, between 2003 and 2006, and although it recieved critical success, the show was cancelled due to low viewership and ratings after its third season. This hasn't stopped the world calling for more however, and in 2011 Netflix signed the show on for another series, airing them exclusively on their video streaming service. 14 episodes will air all at once in May, and a movie script is currently being worked on, that will wait for the series review before recieving the greenlight.

The entire original cast is returning, and each member has also reportedly signed on for the feature film should it go ahead, aswell as an all-star line up for reccuring character roles, many of whom come from the original 3 seasons. Most recently added to the list are Seth Rogan and Kristen Wiig. Nothing is known about Seth Rogan's role in the series just yet, but Vulture has reported that the SNL veteran Kristen Wiig will be playing a young Lucille Bluth (the mother played by Jessica Walter in the main cast).
