Jack Sparrow set sail for big screen return

Disney has hired screenwriter Jeff Nathanson, famous for such films as Catch me if you can, Tower Heist and the god awful Indiana Jones and the kingdom of the crystal skull, to pen another Pirates of the Caribbean movie.
Johnny Depp and producer Jerry Bruckheimer are expected to return although shooting has been post-poned due to Depp's work on The Lone Ranger.
No word as of yet on whether the rest of the crew will be returning, since the director of the first 3 films Gore Verbinski will not be.
The previous instalment, On Stranger Tides, gave proof that a movie could work without the likes of Bloom, Knightley, and Verbinski earning over a billion dollars world wide. That being said Orlando Bloom has expressed his interest to be a part of the fifth film.

In related news, Disney has also announced work on a sequel to Alice in wonderland. Depp has not yet signed on to the production, but has often said that he would happy to return as long as the material is good.
