Work on the highly anticipated Sin City sequel is currently well underway. The project is in production with an October 7th release date, but even more actors are said to be joining the cast, even as late as now. The movie has added three more actors to its already star-studded cast, although as of yet in unknown roles. Ray Liotta (Goodfellas, Hannibal), Juno Temple (Mr.Nobody, The Dark Knight Rises) and Jeremy Pivven (Pirates! A band of Misfits, Entourage). Liotta and Piven had previously worked together in Smokin' Aces and Juno Temple will be joining another recently added cast member, who she had worked previously with on Batman: The Dark Knight Rises.
As of January 7th, Joseph Gordon-Levitt was cast as Johnny, "a cocky gambler who disguises a darker mission to destroy his most foul enemy at his best game."These new members along with Dennis Haysbert, Jamie Chung, Christopher Meloni and Josh Brolin, are going to be joining the returning ensemble cast of Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson and Jaime King.
Aside from the casting news, the directors have teased more information regarding the presentation of the film aswell. The first movie was hugely succsessful with its artistic style, and this sequel is hoping to expand on this. The filming itself is allowing actors to shoot scenes togethor, who under normal circumstances woudlnt of been able to due to availability. Rodriguez said in a recent interview that he is planning to really push the limits of our film technology and even 3D features. "We're really playing with stuff because that's a very two dimensional world, and to see that sylization in 3D, it'll blow people's minds. 3D hasn't been used like this yet."
